One question I am frequently asked by those aspiring to creek more is, "What can I do to make my drawings more better?" The answer could not be more simple. Allow me to demonstrate, briefly, using visuals.
Here's a drawing I recently finished after several months of work. It's a man standing in a tree with a small girl to his right:
It's kind of hard to see what I was going for and the forms aren't exaclty easy to discern. So, what I do in this situation is take this logo:
...add it to the top of the drawing, and *boom* you can really start to see what I was going for.
It's that simple. Add the New Yorker magazine logo to just about anything you've drawn and it will immediately look better. Here's a piece I did of a bunch of people being attacked at a crosswalk by an orange octopus:
Just look how much better it looks after I add the logo:
One more? Here's another drawing I did of someone in a tree. This time it's a woman and there's a tiger leering up at her:
...let me just add the logo...
So there you have it. If you're struggling with your drawings, there is a way to instantly make them better.
And if you'd like to own a book that's 50 pages long and collects all three of the illustrations you see here along with many more of my completed works, you can find it at my bookstore
Cheers.
