Jordan Descends to the Depths of Baseball

On October 3, 1993, Michael Jeffrey Jordan, the Son of (a) Man (named James Jordan, Sr.), announced his retirement from basketball.

Today, as we go about our business, let none of us forget to reflect on all that Jordan has done for each one of us.  Let us not forget that he descended even to the depths of baseball (a game almost as tedious as golf or football) for us, that we might come to believe in him.

Let us also not forget how much he did for our beloved Looney Tunes, standing up against the mighty Monstars, defeating them in a high-stakes game of pickup basketball.

These Jordan High Holy Days are given to us as a blessing, that we not be led astray by those who would tell us Jordan was "just another good basketball player" or by those who would blaspheme by declaring that the disciples of Jordan (Kobe, Lebron, etc) are somehow greater than Jordan himself.

He who has ears, let him hear the story of Michael Jordan, the Son of (a) Man (named James Jordan, Sr.).
