The week before last, I told you that I was going to be concentrating primarily on other projects and would (therefore) only be posting old images from my sketchbooks. And then last week I went totally against that because I had some things I needed to say about the NBA Finals.
But for those of you who were hoping to see some Creek sketches, fear thou not! Because this week, you're getting to see ONE WHOLE SKETCH! [audience erupts in a cacophonous applause]
And here it is, taken directly from the inside cover of one of my Bibles, a drawing of Joab slaying Absalom (David's beautiful, treacherous son)!
The story of David is pretty fascinating. Actually, that whole section of the Bible is fascinating, starting with Judges and going through 2 Kings.
Read it for yourself sometime. Heck, read it for yourself sometime this week. You can take the time that you would've spent pouring over an intricate, non-old-sketchbook Creek blog post and direct it towards an ancient text filled with adventure, intrigue, and humanity at its most base.
Cheers.
