Drawer's Block

You know writer's block, right?  That thing where you're trying to write something but you can't figure out how to put it into words..?  Well, there is also a thing called drawer's block.  This is where you're trying to do a drawing of something but you can't quite figure out the perspective or the lighting or the layout.  When I get drawer's block, I usually start working on something else for a bit and then I come back to the problem later.  Sometimes I'll start doodling on a sketchbook page or, if I'm at home, I'll start picking at a drawing that's on a long piece of canvas paper that I nailed to one of my walls.

It's a bunch of people (and creatures) riding on ostriches and being attacked by tigers.

I don't know how long I've had it up on my wall, but it's coming together slowly, in between other actual projects.

Eventually I'll finish inking and coloring the whole thing and then I'll have to come up with a new thing to pick at.  But for now, this is my cure for drawer's block.

Cheers.
